The new Certina DS PH200M collection continues the classic of the same name from 2018: it continues to focus on outstanding underwater performance and accurate and reliable underwater timekeeping. Combining elegance and power, the watch combines technological innovation with the brand’s tradition to showcase its versatility.
The 42.8 mm stainless steel case features a dark blue ceramic convex rotating bezel with gold markers. The slightly curved ceramic bezel is made of sturdy and durable smooth ceramic material, and the gold diving meter time is a good expression of refined elegance.
Large diameters are currently a popular trend for sports watches, and the new product continues the same diameter as the 2018 model, and the case has a new black PVD coating, which is eye-catching. The addition of sapphire not only makes the watch strong and wear-resistant, but also clearer and more transparent, which greatly increases the service life of the watch.
The dial is covered with a Super-LumiNova® luminescent coating, allowing the hands and bezel to be clearly displayed even in low visibility. The black paint has a deep visual effect and contrasts with the white hour markers, the second hand and the date display window.
The dial is engraved with a cross-shaped gold thread, and the four hour markers connected to it are also trimmed with gold, and the workmanship is very delicate, showing Certina’s grasp of the details of watchmaking.
With a thickness of 11.9 mm, the watch features a screw-down crown on the sides and a non-slip fluted design that enhances friction for easy timing adjustment and is stamped with the brand’s signature double C logo on the top.
The brown calfskin strap with pin clasp is soft and comfortable to wear, exuding a full vintage charm, classic and versatile.
The strap has a quick-release device, which can be easily replaced with the help of the quick-release device. In addition to calf leather, a gray-blue NATO braided strap and a Milanese woven strap are also available.
In addition to the traditional DS double safety technology, the screw-down crown and the crystal and case back in hard-wearing sapphire glass further enhance the watch’s strength, and it is water-resistant to 20 bar. The Nivachron™ hairspring used in the movement not only provides excellent magnetic protection, but also improved shock resistance.
