Where did all these clothes come from
Do you know?
Take a look at the following report
Some clothes from unknown sources really should not be bought casually
They may have a lot to offer!
On the afternoon of July 25, the Yongjia police reported a smuggling case in which more than 300 tons of used clothes were smuggled from Busan, South Korea, to Yongjia, which were stained with filth and smelly, and the four crew members in charge of transporting the goods had been arrested.
300 tons of old Korean clothes were intercepted, and the stench was unpleasant
On May 20, law enforcement officers from the Yongjia County Private Office found a suspicious cargo ship during a daily inspection of the wharves in Qiaoxia Town, Yongjia County. The reason why the cargo ship is suspicious is partly because law enforcement officers have not seen it before, and partly because there are packages on board that reveal several old pieces of clothing.
Law enforcement officers suspected that the ship was a smuggling ship and immediately contacted the Wenzhou Customs Anti-Smuggling Bureau to investigate the matter.
After investigation, Wenzhou Customs confirmed that the cargo ship “Youjin 18” was driven to Wenzhou from Busan, South Korea.
When the law enforcement officers opened the package and counted the goods, a foul smell came in, and it was full of stains, vomit, oil, and sweat stains, and old clothing was a type of foreign garbage prohibited from being imported in China.
According to statistics, there are more than 300 tons of used clothes, and there are many international famous brands inside, and there are clothes from all seasons, piled together like a hill.
The cargo ship was suspected of smuggling used clothing into the country, which was a non-tax-related case, and according to the division of authority, Wenzhou Customs immediately transferred the case to the Yongjia police for investigation. The Yongjia police were responsible for the main investigation, and Wenzhou Customs cooperated in handling it.
The police handling the case said that this was the first non-tax-related illegal smuggling case handled by the Yongjia police, and they set up a special task force to solve the first question, “Where is the crew of the ‘Youjin 18’ cargo ship?” ”
The crew took risks because they were well paid
Whether it was the Yongjia County Private Office or the Wenzhou Customs, no trace of the crew was found.
The police analyzed that according to the traces at the scene, these crew members may have driven the ship to the dock, did not rush to unload the cargo, but hid in other places and waited for the next home to pick up the goods, and when they saw the arrival of law enforcement personnel, they abandoned the ship and fled.
This makes it difficult to solve the case.
After a month of investigation, the police initially confirmed the identity information of the crew members involved in the case, and with the help of the Guangdong police, they went to Guangdong three times and arrested all the crew members involved in the case in Guangzhou, Huizhou and other places.
There were a total of four crew members involved, led by Taiwanese Yang Moumou.
Yang Moumou explained that he made a living by helping people run boats, and under the introduction of a friend, he took over the job of smuggling old clothes, as for who the boss behind the scenes was, he didn’t know, he only talked to the boss behind the scenes on the phone, and he had never met.
Yang Moumou said that he only helped the boss behind the scenes smuggle used clothes twice, the route from Busan, South Korea, to Wenzhou, it takes more than 10 days to drive, if he can safely hand over the goods to the next family, he can get 10,000 yuan each time, and the other crew members are 5,000 to 8,000 yuan.
300 tons of old clothes will be destroyed
As for the next home, Yang explained that he only had the other party’s phone, and he had not contacted the other party after the batch of old clothes was seized.
According to Yang Moumou and others, they also know that smuggling these old clothes is illegal, but doing such a job, you can earn tens of thousands of yuan at a time, which is much better than running a boat with a salary.
How are so many old clothes collected, and how do smuggling gangs make a profit?
The police handling the case said that because the upper and lower families have not yet been arrested, these two questions cannot be answered. However, similar cases have been solved in Guangdong and other places, and most of the used clothes in those cases are clothes discarded or donated by local residents in South Korea, and the collection cost is very low, and after being transported to China, they are washed and then sold out at a higher price.
The police handling the case said that these “foreign garbage” lurk all kinds of bacteria, and if they enter the market, the consequences will be unimaginable, and they will destroy all the more than 300 tons of “foreign garbage” at a later date.
At present, Yang Moumou and other 4 crew members have been taken criminal compulsory measures by the police, and the case is still under further investigation.

“Foreign trade tailings” may come from the morgue
In 2016, the Shenzhen detachment of the Guangdong Provincial Border Squadron intercepted 549 tons of used clothes from abroad.
According to the law enforcement personnel of the Shenzhen border defense detachment, it is almost zero cost to collect these old clothes abroad, and the vast majority of these clothes come from foreign morgues, garbage stations, and waste collection stations.
In the mainland, these used clothes can be sold for 1,000 yuan per ton, and the profit is not low. Unscrupulous merchants buy old clothes and refurbish them, and then sell them in the names of “ultra-low prices”, “foreign trade tail goods” and “export to domestic sales”, which are favored by some teenagers because of their novel styles.
According to Wei Fang, a doctor of the Department of Disinfection and Vector Biological Control at the Shenzhen Center for Disease Control and Prevention, smuggled used clothing contains a large number of pathogens that “enter the human body through the skin, mouth and other organs.” It is worth noting that some smuggled old clothes have blood stains, which are likely to be worn by AIDS or severe liver disease patients, and “consumers who are relatively weak wear them on their bodies, they are at risk of infection.”
He also said that the smuggled old clothes were bundled and packaged during transportation, and the chemical agents inside could not be dispersed, which would irritate human skin.
So how to distinguish foreign garbage clothing?
Step 1: The clothes are unique, and there is no other number of the same style
Foreign garbage clothing styles generally appear in a single piece, rarely have the same style and specifications, and the seller’s inventory quantity is basically one. If there is more than one piece of the same clothes, you can basically judge that it is not foreign garbage. (Except for designer customization)
Step 2: The logo is old, and the main logo and washing mark are curled and yellow
Because foreign garbage clothing has been worn for a long time and washed many times, the trademark will be curled, loose, yellow and old, and the specifications and numbers will be blurred. Many trademarks of foreign trade clothes sold online will be cut off and sold, which is the cut label we often hear.
If the clothes received are suspected to be foreign garbage and the trademark has been cut off, you can observe whether the remaining part of the trademark that has not been cut off is obviously wrinkled or worn out, and if so, then be careful.
Step 3: Look at the new and old key positions, such as elbows, necklines, etc
Foreign garbage clothing is worn, and the armpits and elbows are often bent, so it is easy to produce pleats; Because the neckline of foreign garbage clothes often rubs against the neck, there will be obvious traces of wear, such as yellowing, shiny and so on. If it is a sweater, it depends on whether there is pilling, and many ball sweaters can definitely be worn.
Step 4: Whether there is a peculiar smell after unpacking
99% of such clothes are not washed. First of all, they are afraid of trouble, and secondly, they are afraid that these clothes will infect themselves.
So if you buy clothes
There is a very strong odor
Then you have to watch out!
Thumbs up in support of strict investigation of “foreign garbage”!
