The day before yesterday, I went to a doctor’s house to do errands, and as soon as I entered the door, I was attracted by a huge iron cage.

In the iron cage, there is a big wolf dog that stands up and is more than one meter tall, but the wolf dog’s eyes do not look sharp at all, and it has almost lost the only bit of wolf nature and has become a pet dog.

This made me suddenly think of the book “Wolf Totem” that I had read many times before.

Perhaps in the minds of some people, the status of wolves is more embarrassing, thinking that wolves are beasts that like to live in groups, are not as fierce as lions and tigers, and are not as fast as cheetahs, and catch some animals with thin strength by virtue of their numerical advantages.

And after I read this book, I deeply realized that this “beast” is not a wolf, but a man.

The wisdom of wolves can be seen everywhere, and when fighting against danger, in order not to expose the wolves, the wolves that are found will always flee in the opposite direction to the wolves, preferring to sacrifice themselves to save the group.

The unity of wolves is shocking, wolves generally rarely fight alone, basically under the order of the wolf king will act, the wolves are unstoppable, even if they are embattled, the wolves can still solve the problem calmly.

In the steppe, people learned a lot about the wisdom, unity and bravery of wolves, etc.

In life, we should learn to be like wolves, strong and intelligent, and brave to forge ahead.

Today’s tutorial is Wolf of the Forest, which is very simple, and the only colored lead used is the blue series.

Painting tools:

Faber-Castell water-soluble 48 color pencil, pencil, eraser, hero small double-ended marker, paper towel, highlighter pen (white paint, correction solution), white cardboard

What is more difficult to grasp in this work is the treatment of the wolf’s head and hair, and the colored lead part is extremely simple. The picture below shows all the colors of colored lead used this time.

Creative process:

1. When drawing line drawings, be sure to grasp the head of the wolf, if you are worried about not being accurate, you can use geometric shapes to indicate the position of the general diagram.

2. After setting the general position, start to portray the head of the wolf, it is more difficult to show the nose part of the wolf, you must pay attention to the black-white-gray relationship of the nose.

Wolf eyes, mouth, teeth, and ears are relatively simple.

3. Because it is a wolf of the forest, you can use the wolf body to express the forest and highlight the artistic conception.

The forest part starts from the corner of the wolf’s eyes and draws a frame as the cheeks and ears extend downwards.

The part of the tree starts in the middle of the frame of the painting, drawing a relatively thick trunk with the direction of the branches that can spread at will.

Set the position of a tree and draw it left and right. The position of the second tree is drawn from under the wolf’s mouth, and the distance from the first tree is about a centimeter.

Next, the trunks on the left and right should be drawn in a rough way to convey the feeling of being deep in the forest.

The gap between trees can be filled directly with some small branches, do not leave too much white.

The silhouette of a wolf is drawn in front of the tree on the far right, and the position of the horizon is from low to high, so that the line drawing of the wolf’s body is basically drawn.

4. The next step is to portray the black-white-gray relationship of the wolf’s head, draw the hair of the wolf body with a pencil, and slightly depict the wolf hair on the face, mainly the hair of the eyes, mouth and nose.

According to the growth trend of wolf hair, sketch it. Draw the lips of the wolf, and leave a highlight on the underside of the wolf’s teeth when portraying.

5. Draw the nose of the wolf, try to leave the highlight of the place where the nose turns, and pull out the black-white-gray relationship of the facial features.

In order to make the picture more lively, the head and body part of the wolf are connected more naturally, and some circles can be drawn on the wolf’s hair.

6. Use the hero’s small double-headed marker to draw the silhouette of the tree from left to right, and the branches should be as thick as possible.

When drawing the silhouette of a wolf, remember to draw the texture of the wolf’s hair.

7. When drawing the silhouette of the horizon, you can leave white space and dots appropriately, so that the picture is more transparent and lighter.

8. Use Faber-Castell #499 to the wolf’s nose, the mouth continues to portray, the nostrils and the bottom of the nose are the darkest, leaving the highlight at the turn of the nose.

The mouth and lips are partially deepened, and the junction between the teeth and the lips below the teeth is white.

9. Draw the projection part under the nose and the beard point (haha, actually, I don’t know what to call it).

Using Faber-Castell #499 line, draw the wolf’s body and ears. The hair part should be painted one by one, and if it is only painted flat, there will be no layering.

10. After drawing the hair, continue to deepen, and the relationship between black and white and gray must be grasped well. The hair under the mouth should also be drawn in depth with a thread method.

11. Use a tissue to gently wipe the hair under the mouth and the hair on the ear part, so that it does not look very stiff.

The ear part will be blurry after wiping, so continue to draw the hair one by one with black lead, and then use the eraser to erase some highlights on the hair, so that the relationship between black and white and gray will be more obvious.

12. After the wolf’s head is painted, the painting is more than half complete. Here’s how the forest is painted, first with Faber-Castell #454 blue.

13. Use Faber-Castell #445 to cover the overlay around the perimeter, and the middle part is partially superimposed, and cannot be fully covered.

14. Continue to use Faber-Castell #451 to deepen the area just covered, remembering that the circle next to it is the same step.

15. Then use Faber-Castell #444 in the superimposed place to further deepen, so that the sense of layering comes out.

16. Finally, use a highlighter pen, or white paint, to point out the stars, and the middle part of the starry sky is erased and brightened in a few places, and the painting is completed.
