Fabric & craftsmanship
This set of pure cotton loungewear is made of yarn-dyed lattice double weaving, the warp and weft inner weave has good moisture absorption, strong outer weave and high degree of retention, similar to the gauze bath towel for babies, which is very comfortable and skin-friendly. According to actual measurements, it has a breathable height of up to 4.1cm and good air permeability.
However, cotton clothes are relatively easy to deform and wrinkle, and this set of homewear is still soft after five washes, but the wrinkling phenomenon is obvious. It is recommended to wear and wash daily with care, try to avoid twisting vigorously, or wear it after ironing.
It is also quite ingenious in the details of the craftsmanship. Experimental process: take a 100cm² round sample from the tested clothing, load the sample on the YG502 circular trajectory pilling instrument, select the corresponding method and parameters according to the national standard GB/T4802.1, and carry out friction experiments in the way of circular trajectory movement. After obtaining the experimental samples, they were placed in the standard rating box and compared with the original and standard samples, and the hairing/pilling grade was rated as 1-5, with grade 1 being the worst (the most serious pile/pilling) and grade 5 being the best (no change in the surface).
Note: In view of the industry standards of some categories in the national standard, there is no mandatory requirement for the pilling level of the fabric, and the data obtained by this experiment is only for purchase reference.
The evaluator uses a sampler to take a 100 cm² standard specimen from the garment under test. After recording the grammage, load the specimen on the YG502 circular trajectory pilling instrument, set the parameters, and start the experiment.
After completing the fluffing/pilling test, the sample of the tested clothing before and after the test is placed in the pilling grading box. Compared with the sample photos of the pile balls that meet the GB/T4802.1 national standard, the hairing/pilling level of the sample cloth is obtained.
Conclusion: The test level of the frizzing ball of this set of home clothes is level 3, and there is obvious hairball phenomenon on the surface of the sample, which is within the scope of national standards.
Color fastness test
Color fastness test to dry and wet rubbing
1. Color fastness to rubbing is one of the color fastness tests, this experiment uses Y571D color fastness tester to simulate the possible color staining of clothes in daily use.
2. Experimental process: fix the sample of about 15cm*20cm on the friction tester platform, set the corresponding parameters, and cycle friction with a dry and a standard friction cloth with 95%-100% humidity respectively to obtain dry/wet test samples respectively.
3. The experimental samples were compared with gray sample cards that conform to GB/T251 and ISO 105/A03 standards for color staining, and were compared with the color light box under the standard light source. Level 1 is the worst (most heavily stained) and level 5 is the best (no staining at all).
The evaluator cut out a 15cm*20cm specimen from the clothes under test, fixed it on the Y571D Color Fastness to Friction tester platform, set the corresponding parameters, and started the experiment.
After the color fastness test for rubbing, the evaluator took out the samples of dry and wet friction cloth and placed them under the standard light source to rate the color light box.
Conclusion: The color fastness to dry rubbing of this set of home clothes has reached the highest level of 5, the color fastness to wet rubbing is level 4-5, and the surface of the sample has a slight color staining phenomenon, which is negligible, and the overall performance is excellent.
Hand wash color fastness test
Soak the laundry for about 15 minutes, simulate daily scrubbing and observe whether the clothes fade.
Add tap water to the basin, rub the test laundry a few times, soak well for about 15 minutes, remove the laundry and observe the color of the water.
Conclusion: After soaking for about 15 minutes, there is no floating hair or color on the top and pants, the water in the basin is as clear as ever, and the color fastness to hand washing is excellent.
Air permeability test
1. Breathability determines the comfort of clothing to a certain extent, and this experiment simulates the height reached by gas through clothing in a relatively fixed environment during the same time period.
2. Select three pieces of clothing of different thicknesses, tested by third-party authoritative institutions, and their air permeability is 183mm/s (good), 857mm/s (excellent), 2136mm/s (excellent). These three different levels of samples were taken to carry out the above small experimental tests, and three samples with different gas permeable gas heights were made to facilitate the comparison and explanation of the experiment.
Note: Interpretation of air permeability data for clothing samples, e.g. 2136mm/s, at 100 bar pressure, the average rate of gas passing through a 20 square centimeter fabric specimen is 2136 mm per second.
The evaluator places the tested clothing on a humidifier and smooths it, turns on the power, observes and records the height reached by the gas through the clothing in the same time (about 3-6 seconds), and compares it with the sample photo to assess the approximate degree of air permeability of the tested clothing.
Conclusion: The maximum height of gas passing through the clothing is 4.1cm, which indicates that the home clothes have excellent breathability and no sweating during daily wear.
If the ventilation height is >8cm, the air permeability is excellent;
If the ventilation height is 3-8cm, the air permeability is excellent;
If the ventilation height is 1.5-3cm, the air permeability is good;
If the ventilation height is <1.5cm, the air permeability is average.
